In our modern fast-paced world, when we want something, we want it quick. But when it comes to our physique, no big result is truly instantaneous. There are a lot of treatments that advertise quick weight loss, but we all know the healthiest way to shed off the excess (and keep shedding it) is by supplementing your body-sculpting treatments with a healthy diet and exercise.
We will be exploring the difference between CoolScuplting® and the signature massage at Emmanuelle Blanche, the Palper Rouler.
Palper Rouler is a body contouring massage that combines lymphatic drainage with myofascial release and skin rolling to help eliminate fat, lose weight, and improve skin texture. This treatment is effective in breaking up fascial adhesions and lymphatic stagnation in stubborn areas such as the belly, arms, buttocks, and thighs. It is an anti-cellulite massage that visibly reduces dimples and lumpy skin and smooths out your curves.
To see lasting results with the Palper Rouler, we recommend that you start a regular routine that targets the trouble area, at the frequency recommended by your massage therapist. The time between treatments allows for the body to eliminate the fat cells and toxins. You build upon each treatment, and once you’ve attained the result desired, maintenance is key. Usually once or twice a month suffices however, it could be less or more depending on your body’s metabolic system, and your eating and lifestyle habits.
Because the Palper Rouler includes lymphatic drainage, this massage acts not only as a beauty body sculptor, but also has many health benefits that support a stronger immune system, combats lethargy and even helps combat diseases. Thanks to all these factors combined, most clients notice more radiant complexion, improved mood, and better well-being. The treatment is given in a comforting spa using imported oils that moisturize and soothe the skin, and you will come out feeling invigorated and relaxed.
The most obvious difference from Palper Rouler is that CoolSculpting is not a massage.
It’s a treatment that requires the use of a machine and is only cleared by the FDA for 9 areas of the body. This treatment is a non-surgical procedure that subjects target regions of your body to very cold and almost freezing temperatures to freeze the fat cells. As stated on their website, it is not a treatment for weight loss and there is also a rare side effect that would cause the treated area to bulge and swell and requires surgery. The treatment is given in a physician’s practice, so it may not be a spa-like relaxing experience.
Not unlike our signature massage, the treated fat cells are released from the body through the lymphatic system. The Palper Rouler offers lymphatic drainage to assist the body with the release of these cells, and CoolSculpting does not. It’s important to note that the lymphatic system does not have a pump and can often get stagnant preventing the body from releasing the unwanted cells, and creates a risk of a lowered immune system, allergies, food sensitivities, and dull skin. People with poor lymphatic systems who undergo these types of procedures will undoubtedly get swollen and the results will be unwanted bloating and potential health problems.
The other big difference is that most doctors don’t recommend CoolSculpting as a cellulite treatment. Whereas the Palper Rouler is an anti-cellulite treatment. The big difference here is that dimples and orange peel effect created by the fat that lays just below the surface of the skin, would not necessarily be diminished with CoolSculpting but it would with the Palper Rouler. So, you might freeze off inches around your buttocks but it probably won’t look smooth. And a lot of women who don’t have weight concerns may not want inches off their derriere! We like our fat, we just want the cellulite to go away! The Palper Rouler will “decongest” the fat accumulation beneath the skin make your booty look even.
